Hagstrom Jazz Model Hl-550 Hollowbody Electric Guitar Gloss Natural MahoganyToday’s featured guitar is the Hagstrom Jazz Model Hl-550 Hollowbody Electric Guitar Gloss Natural Mahogany. Below is the complete description of the guitar.

The Hagstrom Jazz Model HL-550 Hollowbody Electric Guitar features a mahogany body and set mahogany neck. The Hagstrom patented H-Expander truss rod provides tension at either end and runs the entire length of the neck. The rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for very low action and a thin neck.

Another Hagstrom exclusive is the resinator fretboard, an extraordinary, homogeneous wood composite that maintains a strong fundamental harmonic and eliminates wolf tones. It offers the articulate sound of high quality ebony but with more consistency and durability. Silky smooth, reliable and fast.

The Hagstrom Jazz HL-550 Guitar has a single floating custom HF-50 humbucker, combined with the resonant hollowbody to provide lots of warm, rich tone.

The self-lubricating graphite composite nut is much harder than bone or plastic resulting in more string vibration through the neck. Tuning is also improved and string binding is eliminated by self-lubrication.

A long travel Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and trapeze tailpiece further increase tone, sustain, and intonation quality.

18:1 Gear Ratio machine heads ensure fully accurate tuning.

A high-grade polyester finish that is hard, smooth, and more dense than polyurethane. The finish on the Hagstrom HL-550 electric guitar looks great and provides excellent protection and sonic performance.

Hagstrom Viking 2P Electric Guitar WhiteToday’s featured guitar is the Hagstrom Viking 2P Electric Guitar White. Below is the complete description of the guitar.

The Hagstrom Viking IIP Electric Guitar features a double-cutaway semi hollow basswood body, 24-3/4″ scale UltraLux bolt-on maple neck, 6-inline headstock and 22-fret Resonator composite fingerboard. Hagstrom’s Dynamic H90 soapbar pickups deliver warm vintage tones that are edgy and have attitude. The original Hagstrom Viking semi-hollow body electric guitar was made famous in 1968 by the king himself: Elvis Presley!

Revolutionary Neck Design

The Viking IIP guitar and all other Hagstrom electric guitars include the patented H-Expander Truss Rod. Providing tension at either end and running the entire length of the neck, the rigid yet lightweight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck, two factors that were instrumental in earning Hagstrom its reputation as the world’s fastest playing guitar. The fretboard is made from Hagstrom’s own Resinator Wood, a composite wood that is homogeneous in nature and is more stable than any standard wood product. It is the perfect fingerboard material in that it eliminates wolf tones or hot spots, and it has an articulate sound like high quality ebony, but without the problems associated with Ebony.

Custom Hardware

With unique aesthetics and ensuring accurate tuning, Hagstrom’s exclusive 18:1 gear ratio machine heads are featured on all electric models. The Hagstom Viking IIP guitars feature the Self-lubricating Graphite Composite Nut that further ensures increased sustain and vibration through improved transfer of energy to the neck.

Select Materials

Hagstrom used only the finest select tone woods and figured wood stocks on the Hagstrom Viking IIP to enhance its sound and beauty. Carefully selected hard tropical mahogany tone woods are used on the body to produce a powerful and warm sound, and North American hard rock maple provides a bright articulate tone.

Jaw-Dropping Finish

The Hagstrom Viking IIP guitar features a high-grade polyester finish, which is much harder, smoother and denser while also producing much better sonic performance than polyurethane finishes used by other guitar companies.

Since 1958, Hagstrom has been combining acclaimed design with premium materials, unique hardware, and innovative manufacturing techniques to create these magnificent guitars known among guitarists for their playability, beauty, and durability.
