PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar Emerald Green BurstToday’s featured guitar is the PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar Emerald Green Burst. Below is the complete description of the guitar.

The Paul Allender SE features a racy double-cutaway body with the outstanding wood combo of mahogany back and maple top with a flamed maple veneer. The 24-fret-wide thin maple neck is smooth and responsive to the most challenging riffs. Includes a PRS-designed tremolo that lets you dive-bomb like crazy and stay in tune. EMG-90/81TW humbuckers provide the crunch and molten tones you crave. Paul Allender bat inlays provide a distinctive touch.

Paul’s PRS guitars can be heard on Cradle of Filth’s new album, Godspeed on the Devil’s Thunder.

Paul Allender, lead guitarist of the band Cradle of Filth, is known for his unique style. Paul didn’t take any lessons when he was starting out on the guitar. This allowed him to develop his own style very quickly. With his strict right-hand rhythm technique and his chromatic writing style, Paul Allender’s sound is easily identifiable.

Paul started playing PRS when he left Cradle of Filth and started the band, the Blood Divine. He purchased a second-hand CE-24 and used it exclusively throughout the band’s days and brought it with him when he rejoined Cradle of Filth at the turn of the century. He then sent a design of his own to PRS. It featured a purple and black sunburst on a curly maple top and replaced the traditional bird inlays with bats for a darker but still classic PRS look. PRS built the guitar for Allender as a private stock model, but it eventually made it to production as an SE model.

B.C. Rich Ironbird Pro Electric Guitar Spalted Ebony Fretboard

B.C. Rich Ironbird Pro Electric Guitar Spalted Ebony FretboardToday’s featured guitar is the B.C. Rich Ironbird Pro Electric Guitar Spalted Ebony Fretboard. Below is the complete description of the guitar.

The B.C. Rich Ironbird Pro Electric Guitar looks amazing with its Onyx finish and offers professional features such as classic B.C. silver painted bevels, neck-through construction and an active EMG-81 humbucker. The Ironbird Pro guitar has the fire-power needed to heat up any stage.

Introduced in 1983, the Ironbird’s angular lines and striking appearance have earned many loyal followers throughout the years. This guitar combines all the professional you’ve come to expect from B.C. Rich, such as neck-through design, 24-5/8″ scale length, an EMG-81 pickup, Grover tuners and Floyd Rose Original tremolo.

B.C. Rich is known as one of the pioneers in Neck Through construction. They utilize it on many of their guitars, because it provides the best possible sustain, resonance, comfort and access to higher frets. Neck-through has long been considered the premium construction method for high-end guitars. This construction starts with premium maple or mahogany and runs from the tip of the headstock to the end of the guitar. This means that the headstock, fingerboard, pickups and bridge all are mounted to this single sound foundation. Sonically it is a difference you can hear.

Using a ceramic magnet, the EMG-81 active humbucker is a high-output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you’re playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there’s a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you’re looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.

Most of B.C. Rich body styles employ a beveled edge around the shape. In many ways bevels on a top are similar to facets on a cut stone. They catch the light and reflect at different angles giving the instrument more of a three dimensional look. Some of the B.C. Rich top bevels are extreme and wide while others are subtle and narrow. Occasionally the shape of the instrument is accented by painting the bevels a contrasting color.

Other appointments on this awesome shredder include C neck shape, 24 jumbo frets, 1-11/16″ nut width, 12″ radius, Floyd Rose Original bridge, Grover tuners, and a gloss finish.
